Small group workouts have been postponed until further notice to comply with the stay-at-home orders.
In preparation that sports will resume (practices and games) some time in January, students are encouraged to complete the online clearance process (information in the "Clearances" drop down below and "What you need to Get Cleared section) as well as obtain a current physical.
Start dates for sports are still unclear, but we understand the importance of physical activity for our students. Staying within the county guidelines and ensuring the safety of our students, coaches, and staff, we are working hard to get our student-athletes back on the fields of play.
This information pertains to participation in sports during the actual season. DURING SMALL GROUP WORKOUTS, STUDENTS CAN ONLY PARTICIPATE IN ONE SPORT. Season 1 sports would take priority over season 2 sports.
Students who wish to play multiple sports in the same season are encouraged to do so. There must be communication between the student, coaches, athletic administration and parents regarding practices, games, and attendance for each sport.
Things to consider when playing multiple sports:
CCS allows student-athletes to practice a total of 4 hours a day in any sport.
Workload-Do you have enough time to practice and complete your schoolwork?
Missing practices for one sport will impact participation for another sport.
All students wishing to participate in athletics must complete the online registration at www.athleticclearance.com. Directions for the entire process can be found in the tab below.
At this time, we are not clearing students, but students should begin to work on the clearance process. Remember, official Season 1 sport practices are scheduled to start mid December. Students will need the clearance process completed by then.
If you have completed the process, please hold on to your paperwork until further notice. The final step of the clearance will be to pick up the Emergency card (not available yet) and Covid waiver from the Athletics Office. Those papers, along with the clearance paperwork will be brought to the Athletics Office to complete the clearance process.
With the new SCC guidelines, the Season 1 start date will most likely be delayed. The final steps of the clearance process will be opened at a date to be named later.
