At the October 6, 2022 regular meeting, the Gilroy Unified School District Board of Education accepted the appointment of Jason Franks as the District's new Supervisor of After School Programs.  "The Power School team is thrilled to welcome Jason to the GUSD team.  He brings a wealth of knowledge to our school communities," shared Mandy Reedy, the Program Administrator of GUSD's Power School After School Programs.

Jason Franks has lived in the community of Gilroy for the better part of 43 years. Mr. Franks began his foray into youth services with the Power School program under the banner of Youth Alliance. From that starting point, Jason spent the last providing case management, youth intervention services, and developing innovative programming for the Youth Alliance, the City of San Jose’s Mayor’s Gang Prevention Task Force, and the Digital NEST. Now, in 2022, Jason returns to where his career arc in youth services began. Jason Franks is excited to join the after school program team in the role of supervisor to help bring Power School to new heights!

With many connections already established within the district, across campuses, and throughout the youth service community, Mr. Franks brings a dynamic background to GUSD along with an undying passion to create high quality educational experiences to the young learners residing in his hometown of Gilroy.
